Hello Friends:

Hoping this note finds everyone well.  Sharing some more good news about IN THE MORNING.  We’ll be screening at Brooklyn Academy of Music on Saturday, March 28th at 7:30pm as part of BAMcinématek & ActNow Foundation’s New Voices in Black Cinema Festival.  I’ll be in attendance with members of our cast and crew, and there will be a post-screening Q&A.  Tickets are on sale now.  I’m thrilled about this for so many reasons!  It’s a great festival, in a beautiful theater, and as you know we shot our film in Brooklyn, in eight days, against all odds.  Last but not least, the screening falls exactly three years after our shoot.  Some of our scenes were filmed on that exact block, so this will be a huge celebration!  I’m thankful to have made it to the finished line, thankful to all of you for your support, and thankful to all of my collaborators for pouring so much into IN THE MORNING.  We did it!

Also, we had a beautiful run at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.  Our screenings were well attended and the feedback was wonderful.  Here are a few links about IN THE MORNING’s presence at PAFF:
