Hello Friends,

Happy New Year! Hoping that this note finds you all well, and that your year is off to a great start. Sharing some exciting news: we have more IN THE MORNING screenings coming up this year. We’ll have the wonderful opportunity to share our film with audiences in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Paris, with more cities on the way!

First up, Los Angeles!! We’ll make our west coast premiere at the Pan African Film Festival in LA http://www.paff.org/films/in-the-morning/. After having lived with the film so singularly for so long, it was an amazing experience to finally share it with such an enthusiastic and receptive audience in New York at UrbanWorld, and I’m thrilled to now have the opportunity to share it with audiences in Los Angeles at the Pan African Film Festival.

IN THE MORNING will screen Friday, February 6th, 2015 at 7:45pm, followed by a Q&A with our filmmakers and cast. There will also be subsequent screenings on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at 10:25pm and Sunday, February 8th, 2015 at 3:00pm. All screenings will take place at RAVE Cinemas (4200 Marlton Avenue, Los Angeles, CA). I’ll be sure to let you know when tickets go on sale. I hope to be able to meet more of you there!

I’ll keep you posted as details are finalized for our other upcoming screenings, and look forward to sharing our film with you and other audiences very soon. Being able to complete, and now share this film is such a blessing. As an artist, that’s what matters most to me: the ability to tell our stories, to explore our own humanity, in it’s boundless complexity. In light of all that’s happening in the world, having the opportunity to do so is an incredible gift that I do not take for granted. Thank you for making this dream and this film possible.

Leaving you with one of my favorite photos from our premiere at UrbanWorld. It’s of our wonderful audience… When we can see ourselves reflected back in meaningful ways, it’s a beautiful thing!

With love, light and gratitude,
